20-Minute One-Pan Pork Chops Recipe With Cherry Balsamic Sauce

Pork chops are one of my all-time favorite ingredients to cook for dinner. Pork chops are so versatile, cook up quickly and taste amazing. I'm always looking for new ways to cook pork chops and pork chop recipes. These easy one-pan pork chops with a cherry balsamic sauce are a new favorite.

These pork chops cook up in about 10 minutes. Most of the ingredients I bet you already have in your pantry and fridge. Here is what you'll need to make this easy pork recipe: boneless pork chops, olive oil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, cherry preserves or jam, chicken stock base, low-sodium soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup and butter. The pork is cooked in a skillet and set aside while you prepare the quick sauce in the same pan. Coat the chops in the sauce and they're ready to be served for dinner.

Serve these saucy pork chops with your favorite side dishes dishes. I served mine with roasted potatoes and green beans.

Recipe Notes

  • You could use bone-in pork chops.
  • Cooking time will vary depending on thickness of the pork chops.
  • I used Better Than Bouillon Chicken, but there are several stock concentrates on the market.
  • Taste the sauce and add more balsamic, preserves or other ingredients to suit your tastes.
  • If you want this recipe to be gluten-free, use gluten-free soy sauce.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Cook the chops in the skillet until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Remove to a plate.
  2. Add the garlic to the skillet and cook, stirring, for 30 seconds. Add the balsamic vinegar, cherry jam, chicken stock base, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, butter and water. Season with salt and pepper. Cook, stirring, until it thickens, about 3 minutes.
  3. Put the pork chops back into the skillet and coat with the sauce.
