3-Ingredient Cottage Cheese Sauce Recipe: Protein Rich & 77 Calories Per Serving

Cottage cheese is all the rage right now. If you're looking for ways to add more protein to your diet, do we have a recipe for you! This easy three-ingredient creamy white sauce recipe contains 25 grams of protein. No joke. The white sauce gets that protein from cottage cheese. Cottage cheese has many health benefits, with a big one being that it is protein rich. One cup of cottage cheese contains about 25 grams of healthy protein.

This easy cottage cheese sauce can be used just like alfredo sauce would. It is so easy to make. Put the cottage cheese (full-fat cottage cheese is best), evaporated milk and a little Dijon for flavor into a blender. Blend away and it's done and ready to be used in your favorite recipes.

To use the sauce with pasta, cook your pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain the pasta and reserve about 1/2 cup of the pasta water. Pour the cottage cheese sauce into a large saucepan over medium-low heat. Add the cooked pasta and pasta water slowly until it is your desired consistency. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese, if that's your thing. Use whatever pasta you like, from spaghetti to fettuccine to penne to ravioli to tortellini to gnocchi

This mock alfredo sauce would also be delicious over chicken, vegetables, steaks, in lasagna or however you would use a creamy Italian cheese sauce. How will you use it?
