Good lawd!! This easy skillet pizza casserole recipe is so easy and just plain good. There's no crust in this pizza casserole recipe, so it's low in carbs and fits into your keto diet.
The kid-friendly and budget-friendly recipe is made with Italian sausage, ground pork (you could use ground beef), Italian seasonings, garlic (measure it with your heart), spaghetti sauce (use your favorite), mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and pepperoni. But those are my favorite toppings, so you can change and adjust the ingredients so it is your favorite.
Be sure to cook this pizza casserole in an ovenproof skillet so you can finish it under the broiler. You can buy your Italian sausage in bulk (ground up) or in casings. If you buy it in casings, either remove the sausage from the casings and crumble or slice into bite-sized pieces.
Serve the skillet casserole for lunch or dinner. For dinner, add a fresh garden salad on the side. Bone apple tea.
