Looking for a healthier dish for your summer barbecue or cookout? Try adding a refreshing salad using sweet and salty combinations. Here are some sweet and salty salad combinations to try!

• spinach, sliced strawberries, roasted almonds, crisp bacon, bleu cheese with poppyseed dressing

• romaine or boston lettuce, mandarin oranges or grapefruit segments, walnuts, feta cheese, dried cranberries with a raspberry or citrus-bourbon vinaigrette

• arugula, chopped avocado, Parmesan cheese, capers, dried cherries or figs with a lemon vinaigrette

To prevent a "wet" salad, gently layer your bowl with greens, bacon, cheese and nuts. Repeat, then add fruit on top. Serve the dressing on the side.
