This easy cherry amaretto ice cream recipe has just five ingredients and is so simple to whip up. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and you are about to enter ice cream bliss.

Ingredients
- 1 jar (11 ounces) maraschino cherries without stems (divided)
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons amaretto liqueur
Here's how to make it:
- Put the cherries into a bowl and reserve the liquid. Slice half of the cherries into quarters. Set aside.
- Put the remaining whole cherries and their juice into a bowl. Add the cream, milk and sugar. Cover and chill the mixture for about 2 hours.
- Add the amaretto to the mixture, then pour it into an ice cream maker. Churn according to manufacturer's directions. Right before the ice cream is done, add the quartered cherries.
