This tender beef brisket recipe is easy and so yummy! The ingredients are all put into a slow cooker, covered and forgotten for about eight hours. How simple can it be? This may be your new favorite brisket recipe.
The ingredients for this slow-cooker recipe are simple: brisket, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, Splenda for a little sweetness and some salt. The brisket cooks until fork tender, juicy and amazing. Let the brisket rest for a bit before slicing or shredding. If you want a saucier brisket, you could double the ingredients (not the brisket!).
Pair this slow-cooked, high-protein beef brisket with mashed cauliflower for a filling, satisfying dinner. (Check out the health benefits of protein.) Or pile it onto hamburger buns for an Asian-inspired brisket sandwich. You could also use it in a main dish salad.
Cuisine: American

Cook Time: 8 hours
Total Time: 8 hours
Servings: 8
Ingredients
- 3 pounds brisket
- 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 4 teaspoons low-sodium soy sauce or tamari (tamari is gluten-free)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Splenda
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
Here's how to make it:
- Put all the ingredients into a slow cooker. (For a gluten-free brisket, you tamari instead of soy sauce. If you don't want to use Splenda, you could use cane sugar, coconut sugar, brown sugar or your favorite sweetener.)
