30-Minute Crack Chicken Spaghetti Soup Recipe May Go Down in History

Any recipe with crack in the title I'm going to try. Especially if it's a soup recipechicken recipedip recipe or pasta recipe. This is my version of the crack chicken soup recipe that went viral. Crazy viral. Will it go down in history? Don't know, but it is delicious.

This creamy pasta soup doesn't have many ingredients at all. To make this soup you will need cooked, shredded chicken, olive oil, onion, celery, carrots, dry ranch seasoning, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, spaghetti noodles, half and half and cheddar cheese. The original recipe called for bacon. While I love bacon, I omitted it because it sounded like overkill to me. Overall, this chicken and pasta soup recipe is a keeper.

Serve this chicken soup for lunch or dinner with a side salad or crusty bread.

Recipe Notes

  • Next time I will reduce the amount of spaghetti noodles to 4 ounces so it's soupier.
  • The original recipe called for crispy, crumbled bacon. If you want to use it, just stir it in at the end of cooking.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large soup pot. Add the onions, celery and carrot. Cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add the dry ranch seasoning and stir to coat the vegetables.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and cream of chicken soup. Bring to a boil.
  4. Add the spaghetti noodles and cooked chicken. Cook about 15 minutes or until spaghetti noodles are tender.
  5. Add the half and half and cheddar cheese. Cook until cheese has melted. Season with black pepper, to taste. (You probably won't need salt.)

My husband really loved this. I froze the leftovers for him to take to the deer lease. 👍

Looks like another great recipe Donna John. Good thing I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow - I'll grab some chicken and the dry ranch dressing mix. May be 90°+ in the daytime, but our nights are mid 40s-low 50s. Brrr! I'll be the one having soup for supper at 3am! 🤣
Donna John
Sounds like a plan! Hope you enjoy it!

I've made this. Really good. It freezes well, too.

What size package of dry ranch dressing mix did you use? Can I use bottled ranch dressing instead? Thanks.
Donna John
It's a 1-ounce packet of dry salad dressing mix. I wouldn't use bottled.
Ivan Beacco
So, hold on….. you made an incredible chicken soup by using …..canned chicken soup? *slow clap*

Im Gonna go out on a limb and switch out the cream of chicken soup with cream of mushroom soup.....
Donna John
I find that really doesn't make that much difference in recipes. I do that sometimes, too. I think you're good! Hope you enjoy the soup!

Added the nutritional information to the recipe. We are in the process of adding nutritional information for all our recipes. We appreciate your patience as we make this transition. The sodium content is high in this recipe because of the prepackaged ingredients. This is definitely a recipe to enjoy occasionally! Everything in moderation. cernejm

Can I substitute any pasta if I'm out of spaghetti!?
Donna John
Yes, you could use angel hair, fettuccine, linguine or smaller short pasta like elbows. I wouldn't use any really large pasta or you won't have soup, but a pasta dish. Hope this helps!
Lisa Brown
Thanks! Heading to the store. Got a chicken yesterday so cooking this tonight!
