This easy Amish recipe has simple, readily available ingredients that many of us have on hand as pantry staples. Here are the ingredients you need to gather to make this casserole recipe for your family: egg noodles, ground beef, onion, frozen peas, a can of cream of mushroom soup, a can of cream of chicken soup. sour cream, breadcrumbs, butter and optional parsley flakes.

Ingredients
- 8 ounces egg noodles, cooked according to package directions
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 10 ounces (1 can) cream of mushroom soup
- 10 ounces (1 can) cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup panko or breadcrumbs (I used panko)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoons dried parsley flakes (optional)
Here's how to make it:
- Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet. Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine the cooked egg noodles, beef, peas, soups and sour cream. (You could use other types of pasta for this recipe, but egg noodles are traditional.)
- Stir well to combine. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
- Pour the mixture into a casserole dish or baking pan.
- Spread evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, panko and parsley flakes.
- Sprinkle the panko over the top.
- Cover the casserole dish with a lid or aluminum foil. Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 25 minutes. Uncover and bake until top is golden brown, about 20 minutes more.
- Store any leftovers covered in the fridge and reheat in the microwave.
