Has anyone made this pie the proportions seem to be off it is overrunning my deep dish pie plate and making a burnt mess in my oven going to let it go and will report back with end results. Had such high hopes, guessing it hasn't been tested, maybe I can tweek it.

You need at least a ten inch , deep dish pie plate. My nine inch , deep dish wasn't enough. Gotta go clean the oven will try again later , going to add 1/2 teaspoon of ginger to the topping.
