- 2 pounds russet potatoes or sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
- 5 cloves garlic, peeled
- 3/4 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- sage leaves, for garnish
Here's how to make it:
- In a large pot, boil the potatoes and garlic in salted water until tender, about 20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot. Cook a couple minutes, stirring, to help evaporate some of the liquid.
- Add the pumpkin and sour cream. Mash until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with sage leaves, if desired.
