I adore sweet peas, so why not whip them into hummus? I was inspired to create this recipe after I attended a 30Seconds event featuring Chefs Gale Gand and Jaime Laurita, where Chef Gale showed us how to make her yummy pea and garlic dip.
If you have a bag of frozen peas on hand, this healthy sweet pea hummus recipe is super simple, with only six ingredients. Here is your healthy gluten-free shopping list for this high-fiber and high-protein recipe: frozen green peas (read about the health benefits of peas), fresh garlic, fresh mint leaves, extra-virgin olive oil, hemp seeds (check out the health benefits of hemp seeds) and a little sea salt.

The creamy vegan and vegetarian green pea hummus spread makes for a flavorful appetizer or snack filled with fiber and protein. You can serve it as a spread on toast points or rice cakes, or as a dip with crackers, baby carrots or cucumbers. You could even use the creamy green pea dip as a sandwich spread.
