Easy Creamed Pearl Onions Recipe With Parmesan Will Steal the Show by Donna John

The local farmer's market had a variety of pearl onions. Red pearl onions, white pearl onions and yellow pearl onions. Who could resist that? So got creative and came up with this baked Parmesan pearl onions recipe. With a little cream, a little Parmesan and a little time in the oven, these tiny onions were the star of the meal.
Start by cleaning the pearl onions by cutting off the very ends and removing the skins. This can take some time, but be patient. Put the cleaned pearl onions into a baking dish and drizzle with a little olive oil and a sprinkling of salt and black pepper. Bake the onions until they're' tender and beginning to brown. Pour some heavy cream over the top (as much as you want!) and continue to bake until the cream bubbles and gets thick. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and the onions are ready to be enjoyed.
Fresh herbs, like rosemary, thyme or parsley, would be welcome to the pearl onion party. Serve these baked creamed pearl onions as a side dish with dinner. Hope you enjoy this delicious onion recipe as much as we do!
