How to Make My Grandma's Famous Pecan Pie (It's to Die For)!

The holidays just aren't the holidays without my grandma's pecan pie. It's one of the easiest pies you'll ever make, too!

You'll need:

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup pecans
  • pie shell

Here's how you make it:

  1. Mix all ingredients together.
  2. Pour into an uncooked pie shell.
  3. Bake at 375 degrees F for about 40 to 50 minutes.

Wow...great recipe. A little bit of a variation from the one I usually bake. Can't wait to make this one TODAY!

I know how good this pie is - I've made Donna John's grandma's recipe for Thanksgiving before and it was a true crowd pleaser! Judy Thow, please post a photo if you make this, and share your feedback! #yum

Success......I really should add the picture of my husband and I savoring every bite. THANKS. This one is better than the one I always make. My recipe uses Corn Syrup and is really too sweet.

Pecan is my favorite pie. Nice to see one of your followers tosses her recipe for yours. This will now be made in my kitchen! How fun!

Your pie is beautiful, Judy Thow ! Mine never looks that nice! So glad you enjoyed it. My grandma is no longer with us, but her recipes keep her alive. Food is so awesome that way! I'm going to make your applesauce this week for my grandson. :-)

I know what you mean Donna. When I am going through my recipes and find those that were given to me by the special women in my life, I just love to see their hand writing. Somehow that makes them feel close again.
