Ingredients
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 cup shredded white cheddar cheese (divided)
- 1/4 cup Food Lion grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 pounds gold or russet potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/8-inch thick
Recipe Notes
- You could use any cheese you like as a substitute for the white cheddar cheese. Try your favorite cheese blend.
- Store the potatoes in an airtight container in the fridge. Reheat in the microwave.
Here's how to make it:
- Mix together the heavy cream, 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic, thyme, parsley, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add the sliced potatoes and mix to combine.
- Arrange the potato slices vertically and tightly in a greased 9x9-inch baking dish. Pour any leftover cream mixture over the potatoes.
- Bake in a preheated 375-degree F oven for 1 hour. Sprinkle with the remaining 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
