- 1 large red cabbage, sliced thin
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
Recipe Notes
- If you don't like using granulated sugar, you could substitute your favorite sweetener.
- Store the cabbage in an airtight container in the fridge. Reheat in the microwave.
Here's how to make it:
- Melt the butter in a large pot. Add the cabbage and cook until it wilts, about 5 to 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the sugar and vinegar. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat, cover and cook until cabbage is very soft, about 30 minutes. Taste and add more salt and pepper, if needed.
