At The Gem Foundation, we celebrate each milestone, even those that might seem small to some people because they can be monumental for a child. And recently we celebrated big time!
Caleb was one of the first Gems who entered our home on the day we opened in 2014. He was just a tiny 6-year-old with a charming smile that would steal any heart. Not long after Caleb came to the Gem he began to thrive – loving life while playing with his all-new Gem brothers and sisters. Before long Caleb began physical therapy and eventually was able to have tendon release surgery that enabled him to practice learning to walk. With the successful surgery behind him, we began dreaming of Caleb attending school for the very first time.
His application was accepted and his dream of attending school was taking shape. Each day Caleb was determined to do his best and would wake up eager to attend school and to learn. We are thrilled to announce that this December Caleb graduated from kindergarten! We couldn't be more proud of our Caleb!
