• The next time you pack your daughter’s soccer bag or your son’s trombone case, slip in a note. “I’m so proud of you!” or “I love you!” goes a long way to smoothing the wrinkles in anyone’s day. 
• Similar notes can be stashed in coat pockets, book bags and lunch boxes. 
• If your children are old enough to have cell phones, then there’s nothing like an impromptu text to brighten their day. “I’m so happy you’re my child. Have a wonderful day!”
