This is just fantastic. I grew up with a single mother also without much, but the lessons taught and the laughter we shared combined with her grit and determination still resonates with me on a daily basis today. Michael, thank you for saying this. I often wonder if I’m doing enough and feel bad I can’t give my kids more. But I love them with my whole heart and want them to work hard and hopefully they will struggle less. Money doesn’t motivate me but happiness does. I hope they know I did my best.
