Common Sense Gun Laws: Moms & Dads, It Shouldn't Be This Difficult! by AJ Rogers

It is common sense, so why is it so difficult? Sadly, I am discovering a very sinister answer. It has been one month since the shooting in Parkland, Fla. Since then I've been buried in research – reading and reading and more reading, along with educating myself about our world and politics.

I have been looking for answers; learning about gun laws, gun control and gun rights. This search has evolved into a much better understanding of our government and, apparently, something I needed. I have read the opinions and comments of others online and watched them debate and sometimes fight. All of it has served to be quite the task and pretty exhausting. Nevertheless, my eyes are now wide open and because of this I can no longer "stand on the sidelines" and watch my fellow citizens rip each other apart while our country falls apart.

This past weekend, I went to a new member meeting for Moms Demand Action. I am ready to do what I can to help. We need change.

As mentioned above, it has been a month and when I see the speech by Emma Gonzalez it still brings me to tears because deep down I know the answer to the question above. Join me to help make common sense gun laws.
