As I awoke to the election results I had not anticipated, I was faced with a new challenge as an American and mother. How do I continue to be a role model for my kids on such a touchy subject? I turned to positivity, got inspiration from Hillary's message and encouraged my children "do our part" and to rise above hate and negativity.

• We set goals on how can we be better as individuals and use this as an opportunity to grow and change for the better.
• Then, we played our favorite song, danced it out and uplifted our energy for a new day.

Positivity will prevail.
