Baby Those Eyes: Why Kids Need Sunglasses Year-round, Too!

You know how you find yourself reaching for your sunglasses all year long? Glare can be as much of a problem in the winter as it is in the summer, and it's an issue for kids, too. Dr. Katrina Chim, optometrist, explains that every child needs to wear UV protective sunglasses as part of good eye health. UV rays can hurt your child’s eyes both in the short term and long term. Children who don’t protect their eyes are more prone to age-related eye diseases like cataracts. 

Sunglasses are just one part of overall sun protection for your children. Get everyone in the habit of wearing shades!
