Here are a few tips that have worked for me over the past six years, since I made the decision to think twice about what I put into my body:
- Craving soda? Fix that with a glass of sparkling water. My personal favorite is S. Pellegrino over ice. Add some sweetness and take it up a notch by adding raspberries or strawberries.
- Craving salty and crunchy? Try homemade kale chips or popcorn sprinkled with Himalayan pink salt.
- Hungry before you go to bed? Grab some Greek yogurt with a dusting of cinnamon and a drizzle of honey.
- Craving sour candy? Switch up that craving with a plate of sliced grapefruit. Add a spicy twist and sprinkle those grapefruit slices with cayenne pepper.
Keeping healthy options in your house is key to stay consistent and to create those habits you will never want to break. Well, let's be real. On occasion you will break a few – we are only human and my rule of thumb is moderation vs. deprivation.
