I have a daily practice. What I hear most often from others is, 'I can't do it,' meaning get rid of your thoughts. In my experience that is never the goal. Instead it is to allow thoughts to be just that - what they are. And instead focus on expanding your awareness.

Donna John Ideally they say 21 minutes is what you need. But I have a smaller version of light channelling (extremely powerful to manifest desires too) meditation and another one which is a guided meditation which is 15 minutes long. I was never a meditation person. WOuld do for a week maybe and then give up. But with these two meditations I have been consistent for the past 4 months. What surprised me the most and you could say was my AHA moment was the fact that my 6 ear old son would sit down and join me even without my asking. And then he started liking it so much that he insists on doing the meditation even if I forget. I think with meditation is important to find something that resonates with you. There are so many different forms available but if it doesn't speak to your heart it wont be consistent (done forcefully and not from within) and when you find the one meditation that is made just for you then there is no turning back. I am sharing the You Tube links of the two techniques that have changed my life. I hope it's fine to share here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAD53K... , www.youtube.com/watch?v=oBmlvI...

Stephanie Cannoe I agree! We have a different vision of meditation and think we should stop all thoughts but in reality it's just the other way round.
