Ingredients
- 4 ounces semisweet baking chocolate
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup instant coffee granules
- 2 tablespoons warm water
- 15 ounces (1 box) devil's food cake mix
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
Here's how to make it:
- Melt the chocolate in the medium microwave-safe mixing bowl in the microwave in 30-second internals until melted and smooth. Stir together and coffee granules and water, then stir it into the melted chocolate. Add the cake mix and eggs. Stir until a dough forms. (If you want a stronger coffee flavor, use 1/2 cup instant coffee granules.)
- With floured hands, roll the dough into 48 balls (about 1 inch). Roll the balls in the granulated sugar and place on baking sheets.
- Bake in a preheated 375-degree F oven for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until the center is just set. Remove and cool. Store the cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
