There's nothing like a good Cobb salad. Cobb salad was developed by Bob Cobb in 1937 for his Brown Derby Restaurant in Hollywood, Calif. The hearty and delicious salad recipe has been a famous American dish ever since. Now, let's make the Hollywood Cobb salad dressing famous, too. It deserves some recognition all its own.

This easy vinaigrette dressing recipe can be made with three different vinegars – balsamic, apple cider or white wine vinegar – giving you three variations. The recipe also includes Dijon mustard, fresh minced garlic, extra virgin olive oil, salt and freshly ground black pepper. The ingredients are then whisked together. Simple is usually better, and this vinaigrette is proof of that.

This easy salad dressing recipe is good on any salad, not just Cobb. Drizzle it over a mixed spring greens salads, crisp baby gem salads, pasta salads, grain salads or use it as a marinade for chicken, shrimp or fish. If you're serving Cobb salad for a luncheon or get-together, make all three variations of dressings and let your guests drizzle on their favorite. So easy!
