The next step in the preparation is very important: let the batter sit for about 15 to 20 minutes so it comes to room temperature. This helps the pancake rise when it is baked in the oven. Melt the butter in an ovenproof skillet then pour in the room temperature pancake batter. Bake for about 22 minutes or until puffy and golden brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and it is ready to be served.
