- 1 can (15 ounces) chickpeas, drained (reserve 2 tablespoons of the liquid)
- 1 avocado, pitted, peeled and cut in half
- 1 cup chopped cilantro (optional)
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Here's how to make it:
- Put the chickpeas, 2 tablespoons of their liquid and remaining ingredients into a blender. Season with salt and pepper.
