Chocolate Brownie Mug Cake Recipe Is Pure Bliss (10 Minutes, 7 Ingredients) Cakes/Cupcakes Desserts Gluten-free Snacks

If you have no discipline when a platter of brownies is around, then this easy mug brownie recipe is for you! It's the perfect chocolate dessert for one and when you're trying to eat healthier or practice portion control. You won't have the temptation of grabbing another brownie if you just make enough for one. 

To make this easy chocolate mug cake brownie you will need flour, granulated sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, salt, butter, milk or water and vanilla extract. After the ingredients are mixed together, the brownie cooks in about 90 seconds in the microwave. Done!

This easy chocolate brownie mug cake is delicious topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream – or nothing at all. (And you can make more than one, we won't tell!) Let the kids make their own for a fun family activity after dinner.

Ingredients

• 1/4 cup flour (all-purpose or gluten-free flour)
• 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
• 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
• dash of salt
• 2 tablespoons butter, melted
• 3 tablespoons milk or water
• 1/8 teaspoon vanilla

Here's how to make it: 

1. Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder and salt in a mug. Mix well. (For a gluten-free dessert, use gluten-free flour.)
2. Add the butter and stir until it looks like sand. 
3. Add the milk and vanilla. Stir to combine. (For even more chocolatey goodness, stir in some chocolate chips.)
4. Microwave on high for about 1 minute. Check and continue cooking in 10-second intervals until almost set. 
5. Let the brownie sit about 2 to 3 minutes before eating. This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled.
