Ingredients
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- juice and zest of a small lemon (about 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice and 1 tablespoon lemon zest)
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill
- 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
Recipe Notes
- After you mix up the Greek yogurt, garlic, lemon juice and zest, and dill, you can taste to see if you'd like any more garlic, lemon or dill, then add more to taste.
- You can reserve some of the lemon zest and dill to put on top of the sauce as a garnish, if you like.
- I added a teaspoon of honey for a touch of sweetness, but that's optional.
- I prefer to squeeze my own fresh lemon juice, but you could use bottled lemon juice in a pinch (and omit the zest).
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Here's how to make it:
- In a small mixing bowl or large measuring cup, add the Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice and zest, and dill. Season with sea salt and black pepper, to taste, if desired. Stir to blend.
- Taste to see if you'd like to add any more garlic, lemon or dill.
- Add the honey, if using. Stir to combine.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until you're ready to serve. Garnish with reserved lemon zest and fresh dill, if desired.
