Total Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 9
Ingredients
- 2 medium avocados, mashed
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips
Recipe Notes
- If you prefer less-dense brownies, add 1/2 teaspoon baking soda to the batter before baking.
- For the best results, do not overbake the brownies.
- Use whatever type of chocolate chips you like. Stir them into the batter and save some for the top, too. You could also omit them completely for a three-ingredient brownie.
- You could use 1/4 cup maple syrup instead of granulated sugar. The brownies will be less sweet and gooier.
- Store the brownies in an airtight container for up to five days.
Here's how to make it:
- Stir together the mashed avocado and sugar in a mixing bow until smooth.
- Add the cocoa powder and stir until combined. (If using baking soda, stir it in now.)
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the batter into a parchment paper-lined 8x8-inch baking pan.
- Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 20 to 25 minutes. Remove to cool, then remove from the pan and cut into squares.
