Moist Baked Salmon Recipe With Savory Brown Sugar Glaze (3 Ingredients, 20 Minutes)

I just made an incredibly easy salmon recipe that took my salmon dinner to the next level. This delicious baked salmon recipe with a sweet and savory glaze creates a moist and flaky fish that literally melts in your mouth!

Salmon is my go-to choice for simple weeknight dinners because you can make a flavorful dinner with few ingredients in a short amount of time (plus, check out all the health benefits of salmon). With this mouth-watering baked salmon recipe, you need only three ingredients to create a fantastic flavor that you'll want to make every week (I know I do)!

Here's what you need to make this delicious seafood dinner recipe: fresh salmon, brown sugar and Dijon mustard. That's it! You prepare the brown sugar glaze then spread it over the salmon in a baking dish. You then bake the gluten-free salmon for only about 15 minutes. So simple!

I served this sumptuous salmon over quinoa with a side of vegetables for a scrumptious low-calorie, high-protein meal. It would be delicious served with rice, pasta or various other side dishes.

Recipe Notes

  • If you want your glaze on the sweeter side, you can add a bit more brown sugar.
  • If you want your glaze more savory, you can add a bit more Dijon mustard.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat in the microwave.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Place the salmon filet in a casserole dish or baking pan (I lined mine with aluminum foil for easier cleanup). Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
  2. In a small mixing bowl or measuring cup, add the brown sugar and Dijon mustard.
  3. Stir to combine, creating the glaze.
  4. Spread the glaze over the salmon, ensuring the salmon is completely covered.
  5. Bake the salmon at 375 degrees F for about 15 minutes, or until desired doneness. Salmon is done when it reaches 145 degrees F on a food thermometer.
  6. Remove from oven and serve with your favorite side dishes.
