This is the actual recipe from a very expensive steak house. I mean, $100 plus per plate! This bourbon-marinated ribeye steak recipe is really impressive. The easy gluten-free steak recipe requires a rather extensive list of ingredients, but is really worth the effort.
To make this high-protein steak for your next steak night you will need steaks of your choice (ribeye, in my opinion, works best), olive oil, Dijon mustard, bourbon, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, light brown sugar, A-1 Steak Sauce, red onion, fresh garlic, kosher salt and black pepper.
Serve these flavorful marinated steaks for dinner with your favorite steakhouse side dishes, like rosemary green beans, garlic Parmesan roasted potatoes, creamed spinach, macaroni and cheese or garlic mushrooms.
Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 10 minutes plus time to marinate
Cook Time: 10 minutes (varies)
Total Time: 20 minutes plus time to marinate
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 6 ribeye steaks
Marinade
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon A-1 Steak Sauce
- 2 tablespoons minced red onion
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- 1 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1/2 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
Here's how to make it:
- Combine all the marinade ingredients. Whisk until smooth. Keep refrigerated.
- To marinade steaks, put steaks in a ziplock bag or in a shallow plastic pan with a lid. Ladle 1/4 cup of marinade per steak in the bag or pan. Make sure to coat the steaks well and seal the container. Marinade steaks overnight. Flip steaks occasionally while in the refrigerator. (Any cut of steak will work, however, I highly recommend ribeye steaks.)
- Grill or broil as you would any steak. This recipe is enough marinade for six steaks. (The actual restaurant tops their steaks with fine-cut onion rings. I used the french-fried dried onions used in green bean casseroles.)
Nutritional information for this recipe includes the full amount of the marinade ingredients. Depending on marinating time, ingredients, cook time, etc., the actual amount of the marinade consumed will vary.
