That's it! The ingredients are layered in a 13x9-inch pan and baked until bubbly and golden brown on top. (Check out the health benefits of peaches.)
Serve this amazing sweet peach dump cake for dessert with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream on top.
Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 50 minutes (ovens vary)
Total Time: 1 hour
Servings: 12
Ingredients
- 58 ounces (2 big cans) sliced peaches in heavy syrup
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 16 ounces (1 box) yellow cake mix
- 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, melted
Here's how to make it:
- Drain the peaches, reserving 1/2 cup of the syrup. Spread the peaches evenly in a buttered 13x9-inch baking dish. Pour the reserved heavy syrup over the top of the peaches. Sprinkle with the cinnamon.
- Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top of the cinnamon peaches. (Do not stir.)
- Pour the melted butter over the top of the cake mix. (Do not stir. For even more cinnamon flavor, sprinkle some on top before baking.)
- Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 50 minutes or until golden on top. Cool the cake about 10 minutes before serving with vanilla ice cream. (This dump cake won't cut as neat as most cakes, it's looser, so serve it in bowls.) Store the leftover cake covered in the refrigerator and reheat in the microwave.
