Taco Tuesday Guacamole Recipe Is So Good & High-Fiber (5 Ingredients, 10 Minutes) by Jan Mostrom
This guacamole recipe is so easy and delicious you will want to top all your dinners with it, especially on Taco Tuesday. Guacamole is such a versatile dip and you just can't go wrong making a batch tonight or anytime!
All you'll need for this high-fiber and low-carb homemade guacamole recipe is ripe avocados (check out the health benefits of avocado), red onion, salt, fresh lime juice and cilantro. Simply put all the ingredients into a bowl and mash. Taste and adjust the seasonings to fit your tastes. You could also add in some fresh cracked black pepper, too.
Serve this creamy gluten-free guacamole with fresh tortilla chips or use to top fajitas, rice and beans or your favorite grain bowl or Mexican recipe.
Pro Tip: Use your favorite Mexican seasoning, or try my homemade Mexican seasoning recipe.
Fun Fact: You may want to thank your local Mexican restaurant for guacamole, but you should be thanking the Aztecs. When the Spaniards got to Mexico, they first tasted a sauce called ahuaca-molli. Molli means something mashed or pureed, and ahuaca was related to the avocado itself.
