Looking for a herbalicious sauce to serve this St. Patrick's Day to add a little green to lunch or dinner? This easy green tahini sauce recipe is just what you need! It's easy, quick and versatile, and you can use it on almost anything.
Tahini is a Middle Eastern condiment made with toasted, ground hulled sesame seeds. Tahini is full of health benefits and can be turned into sauces or used in hummus and other recipes. This creamy tahini sauce gets its green color from herbs (check out the health benefits of herbs).
This green tahini sauce is made with tahini, lemon juice, garlic, parsley, basil, cilantro, water and salt. The ingredients are put into a blender or food processor and whirled until smooth and creamy. Add a little water at a time until you reach the desired level of creaminess.
Use this green tahini sauce on salads, fish, chicken and other meats or vegetables. You could even dip tortilla chips, pita bread or naan bread into it.
