Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 35 to 40 minutes (every oven is different)
Total Time: 45 to 50 minutes
Servings: Makes 1 loaf
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 1/4 cups whole milk
Here's how to make it:
- Whisk together the flour and milk in a mixing bowl until smooth and lump free. (Do not overmix!) Pour the batter into a 8x4-inch loaf pan that's been lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown on top and it bounces back with touched. You can also insert a toothpick and it should come out clean. Let bread cool before removing it from the pan.
- If you use a larger loaf pan, the bread will not rise as much.
- Whole milk is recommended. Using low-fat milk or nut milks will affect the bread's texture.
