Easy 4-Ingredient Salmon Ceviche Recipe Is So Refreshing

Ceviche is a South American seafood recipe made with raw fish and sometimes other seafood like shrimp, octopus and calamari. The seafood "cooks" in a citrus juice, usually lime or lemon.

This easy salmon ceviche recipe has only four simple ingredients. It can be served as an appetizer or for a light lunch or dinner.

Cuisine: South American
Prep Time: 10 minutes plus 3 hours to chill
Cook Time: 0 minutes

Total Time: 3 hours and 10 minutes
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh salmon, cut into small cubes
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • 1 avocado, cubed
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • chopped fresh chives, for garnish

Here's how to make it:

  1. Put everything into a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Toss gently to combine, making sure everything is well coated with the lime juice.
  2. Cover and refrigerate at least 3 hours before serving.
