Broccoli is a favorite vegetable in my house. There's always a bag of broccoli crowns in my produce drawer. The health benefits of broccoli is reason enough, but it is really the taste and versatility that makes it show up so much in my recipe rotation.
I've cooked broccoli so many different ways, from roasted garlic broccoli to crispy Parmesan broccoli to sweet soy broccolini to whole roasted broccoli to broccoli al vapore. This quick and easy broccoli recipe uses refreshing lemon and healthy turmeric. This is one broccoli recipe that is on repeat at my house.
To make this healthy broccoli recipe you will need broccoli florets, ground turmeric, lemons for juicing, olive oil, salt and black pepper. That's it! Oh, and about five minutes to prepare it. (Did I forget to mention how quick this gluten-free dish is to make?)
Serve the tender low-calorie, low sodium turmeric broccoli for dinner as a side dish with chicken, pork, beef, seafood, lamb or whatever you like. It would also be delicious in a grain bowl or pasta salad.
