- 1 large red cabbage, sliced thin
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
Here's how to make it:
- Melt the butter in a large pot. Add the cabbage and cook until it wilts, about 5 to 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the sugar and vinegar. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat, cover and cook until cabbage is very soft, about 30 minutes. If you don't like using granulated sugar, you could substitute your favorite sweetener.) Taste and add more salt and pepper, if needed. Store the cabbage in an airtight container in the fridge. Reheat in the microwave.
