The ingredient list for this gluten-free vegetable salad is short and sweet: broccoli florets, cauliflower florets, red onion, mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, bacon and shredded cheddar cheese. The ingredients are mixed together and can be served immediately or refrigerated until you're ready.

Ingredients
- 1 head broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 head cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 red onion, chopped
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 6 - 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Recipe Notes
- You can make this recipe with all broccoli or all cauliflower, if you like.
- Chop the florets a little small to make this salad even easier to eat.
- If you don't like bacon, you can leave it off.
- Store the leftover salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Here's how to make it:
- Cook the bacon to your desired crispiness, then remove to a paper-towel-lined plate.
- Combine the mayonnaise, sour cream and sugar in a medium mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper, to taste, if desired.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli, cauliflower and red onion. Add the mayonnaise mixture and toss to coat.
- Fold in the bacon and cheese. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
