Thanks so much for the recipe, kids and I love them. Quick question, are they OK to freeze?
Elisa Schmitz
Hi MarcBcn . I have frozen these successfully. When I'm ready to defrost, I remove them from the freezer and allow to thaw in the fridge overnight. Then, I pop them in the microwave for 30 seconds (natch!) or so to warm them up, and they turn out really well. Hope they do for you as well! Donna John

Thank you so much, MarcBcn ! We appreciate the kind feedback. Happy that you're enjoying the recipes and hope you'll check out the Dad channel as well. Any dad who makes these easy, delicious oatmeal squares for/with his kids is obviously an awesome dad! :-) Welcome to 30Seconds.

They looked great on paper, but these were awful. They were bland with no good consistency. The proportions are all wrong.
Donna John
Can you tell us how the consistency was wrong so maybe we can help? Was it too thin? Thick? Did you use any substitutions for the ingredients listed? Stebben

Thanks for the tip on freezing them. Going to make another batch of these and keep them in the freezer for my kids' school lunches. They'll be thawed out by lunchtime! I enjoy these for breakfast often. I like to sprinkle some cinnamon on top before baking.
