Chocolate Acorn Kisses Recipe: Easy-to-Make Candy for Thanksgiving

Isn't it fun to make Thanksgiving treats for the family? The day my daughter and I made candy turkeys we also made these adorable chocolate and peanut butter acorns. They are a fun, sweet treat and also added a festive touch to the Thanksgiving table.

You could also decorate a cake with them. How cute would that be? Maybe add some candy turkeys? Adorable. To make these fall-inspired chocolate acorn candies you will need just three simple ingredients. Here's your shopping list: Nutter Butter Bites, Hershey's Kisses and mini chocolate chips. This would be a fun activity for the family and a sweet food gift for friends and family.

Recipe Notes

  • I put my assembled acorns on a baking sheet covered with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. You could also use parchment paper.
  • Store the acorns in an airtight container.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Melt about 1/8 cup of the chocolate chips to serve as "glue."
  2. To assemble the acorns, dip the bottom of a Hershey's Kiss into the melted chocolate. Attach it to a cookie.
  3. Dip a chocolate chip into the melted chocolate and attach as a stem. Allow to dry.
