Southern Fried Apples Recipe Is Easy Like Sunday Morning

Apples cooked in butter, sugar and cinnamon are a southern staple. Not only is this fried apple recipe easy (like Sunday morning), but it's incredibly delicious!

Serve this easy fried apples recipe topped with whipped cream, spooned over vanilla ice cream, on grilled pork chops or chicken, or use as a pie filling or pancake topping. It's very friendly and happy wherever you want to use it.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 4 apples, peeled, cored and sliced

  1. Melt the butter in a skillet. Add the sugar and cinnamon and stir until combined.
  2. Add the apples and cook, stirring, until softened, about 6 to 8 minutes. Serve warm or store in the refrigerator until ready to eat.
