We are blessed to be Godparents for several kids. Some of them are related, some are kids of our friends. Several years ago, I started a tradition of giving each of them a Christmas ornament, either on top of their present or instead of a present. Each year they get a new one, and by the time they move out on their own, they have several of their own ornaments to decorate their own tree.
It's so fun to hear them talk about the different pieces they've received and how they look for them each year. Whether it's your own kids or some special ones in your life, ornaments are a great gift idea!
