Yes, Felicity Huffman was seemingly remorseful. Yes, she told the truth and said she’d take the consequences, but if I hear one more person say she didn’t do anything wrong I will lose my mind.
She lied and she bribed someone to give her daughter an advantage to attend college.
Some are saying many parents get accommodations for their kids. They do. But the difference is they go the proper route to do so. Bribery and fiddling with test scores are criminal.
Had she gone through the proper channels to get accommodations she thought her daughter needed, then she would not be in the position she’s in. She acted as though her privilege afforded her special treatment. It is a travesty on its own and aside from any criminal culpability.
There, I said my piece. Huffman should be very grateful she wasn’t given more time.
