Red Nose Day: Here Are 5 Ways to Help Break the Cycle of Poverty Make a Difference

Since 2015, every year in May you might come across someone wearing a red nose. Why? All across America people will buy red noses at Walgreens and go nose to nose to raise awareness and funds to help children in need. Initially started in the U.K. as Comic Relief, Red Nose Day has now made it to the U.S. and in three years has raised over $100 million and served eight million children so far. Here are five ways you can join in the cause:

• Teachers can empower their students by offering exclusive lessons, sharing content and starting fundraisers.

• Simply purchase a red nose at your closest Walgreens or online!

• Watch the Red Nose Day special on Thursday, May 23, at 8 p.m./7CT on NBC. 

• Spread awareness of the cause by using #NosesOn, #GoNoseToNose and #RedNoseDay when sharing content.
