I could not agree more, Abraham Alarcon ! One of my favorite picture books is "Dream:" - parenting: "Dream: A Tale of Wonder, Wisdom & Wishes": A Book for the Young, Old & Everyone In Between . Others that come to mind are "Miss Rumphius" by Barbara Cooney and "Stellaluna" by Janell Cannon. My kid’s favorite book was “Possum Come A-Knockin’” by Nancy Van Laan, though that book is just fun, not really a lesson. I'll share others as I think of them. Look forward to checking out the books you mentioned.

YES! I have been using more and more picture books with my students-especially my older ones. Even big kids enjoy being read aloud to! Some of my favorites include, "The OK Book" by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and "Our tree named Steve" by Alan Zweibel.

Great suggestions, Abraham Alarcon ! I think anything by Dr. Seuss tops my list, but I have to give a plug to "Bucket Filling Fairy" by Ann Marie Gardinier Halstead ! #sogreat
