Low-sugar yogurt is a healthy snack for you and your kids, but after a while it can be boring. To add a little flare to your creamy treat, try adding mix-ins to make it more fun, interesting and healthy.
- Any type of fresh or dried fruit will give plain yogurt a sweet and chewy texture.
- Grind up cocoa almonds or cinnamon-covered almonds for added protein and crunch.
- Add your favorite granola or dry breakfast cereal to add bulk and fiber.
- Sprinkle hemp seeds, flax seeds or chia seeds for a big nutritional punch.
Pack a cup of yogurt in your child’s lunchbox with their favorite mix-in on the side. Let them mix it all together for some healthy fun at school!
