As a busy mom juggling my family's needs with the demands of my business, I'm always looking for ways to save time and hassle. I came up with this easy hack using a closet shoe organizer, of all things, that saves a few precious moments before school and work.
Like many families, we keep jackets and backpacks in a closet by the door. But, we take it a step further. We put a shoe organizer on the closet door, facing out. That way, instead of digging inside the closet and struggling to find what each family member needs, each person just has to reach for hats, gloves, scarves, etc., right there in the organizer (where everything is clearly on display).
We also put non-perishable snacks, such as granola bars, pretzels, nuts, etc., and school supplies, such as pencils, markers, pens, clips, etc., on the bottom row of the organizer. That way, kids can literally grab them and go as they're running out the door.
