Thank you for the tips. As a parent of three in different age groups I have been treading water constantly trying to explain today's world to them, resources like this help tremendously.

These tips are so helpful. I hear ya Michael Kennedy , as a parent of 4 kids ranging from 1st grade to Sophomore, calls for a range of conversations for every age. Most important we keep communicating with our kids and let them know we are here for them no matter what. Blows my mind how times have changed. When I was a kid the focus was school work, horseback riding, playing with friends not worrying how to hide in a possible shooting drill, we just had fire drills. xoxoxo
